Looking for a great mechanic who will charge a fair price to change the crankshaft in my FFR Cobra kit car. The engine is a 92 5.0 stock short block with afr 165 heads, KB supercharger, 1 5/8 FMS headers, etc. Just had a Fordchip tune. I have a garage, an engine hoist and a variety of hand tools if needed. It appears the crankshaft broke between the timing chain and the first cylinder... timing chain cover will need to be replaced as well and will probably upgrade the clutch and flywheel while everything is out of the car. The kit car is a blast to drive and of course the mechanic takes the first ride after repairs!

Pull motor/ pull heads and take block to a machine shop you probly have a lot more damage than that to the block! Of course I am assuming that you know how to use the garage, an engine hoist and a variety of hand tools.

Thanks for the help. I posted the same thing under "superchargers" and have found someone 20 miles away who has a lot of experience and will do the work for a very reasonable price (labor only less than $400).
