With preferrably as few other changes as possible.

Just curious. It's not like I need to shorten my block life any more, but wondering if I can change the power band some by going to a smaller pulley and lowering the rev limiter a bit to compensate.

LOL - you're block is already on the fence hp-wise. The last thing you need to do is throw more boost at it. However, if you're looking to add more 'low-end', I'd consider 3.73 gears. just my .02

earlyer boost for sure man!it will help your lowend!
but if you go over your shift point which is easy to do
at the track, might be pushing? looking at 3-4lbs diff. here.
I had done that very same thing before, and it helped at
the track,beacuse I forgot about shift points.LOL
just becareful with that awsome setup man.

I picked up 1.5# of boost, but my belt started to slip around 5,700. I think I would have saw 2# if it wasn't slipping.

3.33" at 3300rpms 262HP
4100rpms 358HP
5700rpms 498HP

2.95" at 3300rpms 286HP
4100rpms 430HP
5700rpms 607HP

I do have to say I also switched from 2 1/2" H-pipe w/cats into a catback. To a 3" Pro-chamber w/o cats into 3" dumps.

My TQ also jumped from 482 with the 3.33" to 590 with the 2.95"

Hope this gives you some info.

 Wow!

Not sure how much of a difference the exhaust made compared to the boost, but awesome numbers! Is that an aftermarket block?

Maybe I should stay where I am now. lol

Those numbers are a little misleading. When I had the 3.33" I could rev to 6,300rpms and I saw 12.5# of boost and I had 516RWHP

When I switched to the 2.95" the belt started slipping and by 5,700 or 5,900 (can't remember) it stopped making boost and started dropping. This is at 14# of boost. At 5,700 to 5,800 I was making 608RWHP. I think if I dimple the pulley I might see about 15# and hope to make 630RWHP!:D

I am running a Sportsman block that was raced prepped by Fox Lake, and Victor Jr's with stage 1 from Fox Lake. It is a Eagle 331 stroker with 8.5:1 compression. Longtubes, custom cam, powerpipe, TKO, Systemax II intake, PMS, 50#injectors, etc.

Oh yeah, this was on 93 pump gas with the A/F between 11.5-1 to 11.9-1 :)

Sinful,
Thanks. I'll tell you, it's hard to hook up on the street! Even with the 315 DR's. I hope to hit 630 when I fix this slipping belt.

Don't forget that Vortech also makes a 3.15" pulley. I have one that I'll be bringing with me to my dyno tune. I've been tempted to slap it on but I'm already pushing 12psi with the stock pulley on a "home tune."
I would maybe give the 3.15 or 3.12 pulley a try before you go all the way down to 2.95. Best of luck
