Does the bumper cover have a perimeter that overlaps the bumper in a decent amount? It may be plenty to just RTV the perimeter well, inside the cover, to make a thick line which holds both well enough.

Low supplies have drastically raised prices of countless things, the inflation stats are complete lies, massively inaccurate. Unrelated by scary to think; I was browsing eBay months ago for various SBF parts, engines etc. I noticed a crate engine for $14k+, wondered what that could be, and it turned out to be a simple crate stroker, with an aluminum block. I was stunned, the AL block used to be a $4kish part, the Dart version. I checked quick and found the cost had jumped up to about $9k just for the block from Summit, $10k to $12k from other sites. Lack of parts has made prices skyrocket on tons of things.
Wow ….

Ok what’s the guess on when the “official“ results will be out on todays vote? 30 days? 60 days? The “fakepaperdoublevotes“ must be counted….. I am not optimistic.

Even more interesting (to me at least) - how many lawsuits will be filed along these lines -- "Because you (media) started calling out/predicting the results beginning at 7pm eastern time, you potentially influenced all those mail-in voters who had permission to 'vote late', therefore - those elections should be overturned, re-done, etc."

You're right Chris. We have driven into a mess in a car with no reverse.

Great point. I've often thought the same.

And - seeing results this morning -- we're toast boys. Burnt toast at that. Gen Z showed up big time. Women will not be told what they can and can't do by someone else. And Trump is a problem.

Until the conservative fights like the law breaking communist, they will keep winning imho. They’ve proven their success at election theft as they keep improving upon it. I didn’t expect anything different.

Average Joe, go back to your Doritos and “dancing with the stars” distraction. Nothing to see here as long as the bread and circuses continue.

Agree - The left's hate for Trump is a unifying factor, IMO. They hate him so much they will vote anyway they can to avoid anyone he endorses.

I do wish he would just fade into the twilight. He got stuff done, but at the expense of pissing off many due to his brash style.

It frightens me to think that the “abortion” that many public schools have become over the last 15 years is doing exactly what the architects wanted - churning out young socialists who think big government actually works.

Gosh, don’t know what it seemed short. Sheesh. Automotive tire Free reed aerophone Tread Musical instrument Font

I salvaged two broken locator tabs and superglued in position.

I’m replacing missing with ones I’m cutting off from the junk reproduction.

Will see how that goes lol. Worse case they break off and I’m right back where I started. At that point it will be rtv and/or mechanical fasteners.

My suggestion would be to rough up the glued tab and cover around the glue joint -- and go wild with JB Weld over the glue joint. You almost can't use too much provided it doesn't interfere with the tab pushing through the hole in the bumper. Once your glue has dried, I'd grab one with a pair of pliers and see how hard it is to "remove"....

I was actually thinking the same thing lol. Will pick some up tomorrow.

The originals aren’t very hard either. Can literally push break them with your thumb and enough force. The plastic used is too brittle, imo. Of course, they aren’t meant to stop lateral movement, just up and down.

A lot of the plastic mounting tabs on Ford trim parts are very likely to break when removing the parts. The only good way to remove them is if there is access to the backside, squeeze or pry the expanding part back together. That doesn't help to install them, but you end up seeing that once it's removed, with broken bits.

Sorry this has been such a fiasco Richard.

Spoke with one of my bosses yesterday and shes scheduled to talk to the boss over both of mine today. We will see what 3M does. I’m partying for a january layoff with decent 6mo package like my technician got 1.5 years ago.

The longer this goes the more I think it’s time. But…. I’ve been wrong before. Praying for wisdom!

Surprisingly, these tabs are robust when there is up and down motion on them. Even though they are made to where it looks like you could squeeze them, I tried. Location plus stiffness wouldn't allow it.

However, a well placed screwdriver simply pops them right out.

It's front to back motion that will sever them. I suspect it's part of the 5mph crash protection stuff and it's supposed to break away and absorb energy.

They are a pressure fit. It's a pretty unique setup. Once embedded into the corresponding slot with the "barb" fully embedded, it allows for side to side wiggle. But zero movement front to back. I fully expect a tab or two to break even with my jb weld reinforcement. We shall see though.
