just wondered if anyone has heard of this, I have a 1973 Ford F100 with a c-4 trans, the intermediated band is broken, have heard of a 2 peice design band, where you don't have to take the trans or front pump out to install the band, trying to get out the easy way, if anyone knows where I can get one of these it would be great thanks again

There was a band years ago, I don't know if they still make it. It has the anchor on one end of the band that was removable so you could slip the band around the drum and then install the anchor. Some had a hook on anchor and some had small screws to attach it. You cut the old band to remove it. They made them for c-4's and c-6's. Years ago when these trans's were popular we used to use them at my dealership. Saved the customer a lot of money. They were called slip bands or snap bands. Try a trans parts store in your area.
