For some reason I cant figure out how/where this thing goes. Thanks for any help.

JA,

I don't have any pics, but I installed mine just behind the yoke and u-joint assembly in the transmission tunnel. I found it easier to install with the front seats out of the vehicle and you'll have to pull the driveshaft to get the loop in. There is a pic of someone doing a lakewood driveshaft install on a Fox body in a tech article on corral here: http://www.corral.net/projects/deepfreeze/dfdriveshaftloop.html

It will pretty much give you an idea of where it should go I hope.

I know it shoud be within 6 inches of the front U-joint but when I place it there to mark holes I can't seem to find a place that it mates to the floor pan flush. Thanks for the link but it doesn't really help me considering the Metco loop is a completely different design than the lakewood.

any of these safety loops not require drilling?

Every one I've seen requires drilling. I guess if you didn't want to drill you could weld it in. Only problem with that is if you every need to remove it you will have to get the plasma cutter out.
