Years ago I read an article where Evan Smith rebuilt his trac-lok with 5 clutches on each side and eliminating the s-spring. Anyone else try this? If so, any negative or positive feedback would be welcome.
The S spring is only for extreme low traction situations. I can't explain it at the moment but the power spinning the spider gears and the traction of the tires puts force on the clutches and makes it lock (lock the best a trak-lok can, since its not a real locker).
