Chris,

Easy to get to. Straight up the eastern shore. This is where the mod motor shootout ws last yr. About 8 of us went up.

A close motel is the Crystal Inn, about 4 miles away. I am thinking about going up also.

NJFirehwawk,

Will they have a car show as well???

If this meet is going to be big, then I suggest getting a hotel room quickly. I know that since it is close to the track that it gets full very quickly for big meets.

95GTS,
How ever long it takes you to get to I-95 in maryland, add another 2 and a half hours to your trip. I suggest going up 95 because the track is right off of it. If you go over the Bay Bridge and go up 301 it will take you longer.

There was a car show last year. I will ask the sponsor 1/13 and find out for sure. As of now I don't see why they wouldn't continue the car show. Last year not many people entered, but hopefully there will be more cars racing and showing.

We will not be using the Crystal Inn as our choice of motel/hotel. All the races stood at the Knights Inn in Elkton, MD. We had about 30 rooms sold last year. They were willing to work with me as far as giving us reasonable rates. This year, expect to pay around 50 dollars a night at the Knights Inn. I will be blocking a section of rooms to accomadate the racers. It will be on a first come first serve. :)

Best of all about the Knights Inn is 1) its ground level rooms, so you can park you car in front of your room and 2) the party can continue till the early morning hours and not have the hotel (Crystal Inn) give you grief over it :)

If you have any other questions, feel free to let me know ;)

Tony,

How far away is the Knights Inn?

95GTS,
It only took me 5 1/2 hrs to come home using the eastern shore. The big variable in RT 95 is Washington DC and Baltimore.

I live like ten minutes from cecil. Theres a holiday inn being built right across from crystal inn. It should be done in time for the race season. Just another alternative. Count me in, BTW!

Just curious, what charity is it for?

The 2 charities we will be racing for are 1) the EdBlock Association (http://www.edblock.com) and 2) the NYPBA widows and orphans of 9/11 fund.

Last year we raised monies for the Make A Wish Foundation and the Red Cross. :)

As far as the hotel goes, most of the racers are on a budget so the most accomadating place is the Knights Inn in Elkton. Also, they have a better tolerance when we party then other places :D

RioRed,

If possible could you do us a favor. I have a feeling the Knights inn will end up getting booked because a lot of people are showing interest this year. If that holiday inn get built would you be able to get us some info like, phone number, address, and room rates. Thanks alot. Even if they people come over to party and then go there to sleep. It's better then traveling from jersey all the way down at 8 in the morning. Thanks....

No problem. Theres also a new Hampton Inn right next to Knights Inn, I think they are a little more expensive, like maybe 70-80 a night. Ill try and get their # for u soon. Also Motel 6 and Red roof Inn are right by Knights Inn.

TTT, I hope you guys don't mind if I bring this up every now and then to remind people I know it's still 3 1/2 months away. Last year it was a predominantly Grand prix and F-body event and we are trying to get some other American Muscle cars there so a better mustang showing would be nice. Thanks...
