1. Can the bottom be exsposed under the car ?

2. Can the sumped part w/ the outlets be pointed forward ?

3. What is the max distance from the tank to the pump ?

4. Where is the best place to run the vent ?

Thanks ,

1. The bottom can be exsposed under the car. I know several people that run plastic cells and this is the way they mount them.

2. I would not do this. If you point the outlets forward the fuel will run away from the outlets when you take off.

3. I am not sure about the max distance but I always mount mine as close as I can. It is best to have the pump mounted alittle lower then the sump.

4. I always just run the vent through spare tire well right beside the fuel cell. I don't know if this is the best but I have never had a problem.

The cell is going in my 65 fastback w/ a small trunk. It is going to be hard to get the pump below the sump but I'll try. I think there is a NHRA rule about where the vent can go, does any one know ?

Nothing special about the vent line, it just needs to be vented outside of the body. I have a bulkhead fitting in the floor and a line going to it with a service loop to help prevent fuel from sloshing out.
