I just bought an aluminum driveshaft off of EBay. It's used with about 10K miles. Can I just bolt it right up or do I need to have it balanced?

Thanks,
Henry

no, just bolt it on. if you didn't already think of it, i'd recommend getting a new u-joint, since you'll have it off anyway.

Thanks for the quick reply. Here's another question. When you say replace the u-joint, are you talking about the joint that's on the driveshaft?

Thanks again,
Henry

no, the one that's on the shaft is still new - 10k, right?
i meant the one that connects in front of the differential.

Mine bolted right on. I checked with Summitt about the balancing, and they said it was not necessary. The directions in my Chilton's book were pretty decent for the install. Was a pretty quick & easy job.

Good luck!
