I have read a lot of posts ans seen varying opinions. Bottom line: Who is using 275's (Nitto in particular) on an 8" Rim...and how does it look and how does it perform? Will this work without a problem, or do you REALLY need to have a 9" rim?

Thanks in advance...this will be helping myslef and my buddy directly...and probably many more.

i have weld draglites 15x8 w/ nitto 275 50 15.....they work fine. a friend of mine has the same wheels but 15x10s and they look alot better, and they take advantage of all the possible tread width also.

one thing thats different with the 15's compared to the 17's is the sidewall. there is much more on a 275/60-15 than on a 275/40-17 the 15 can flex more making it a much easier fit. i had a 17x8 cobra wheel at the shop the other day so i threw a 275 on tere, and its a noticable bulge but seemed to fit fine. they are a PIA to take off and put on though, unless you have a fancy tire changer that holds the sidewall down.
