I suppose it is possible but what would happen if air got into the fuel lines?? Would it make the inline pump sound louder than normal or would the air just work its way out. Back when i first installed my NOS inline fuel pump it made a whining sound extremly noticeable. One day it quit making the sound so I thought the pump went bad. So I bought a new inline pump. After installing the new pump it was still quiet. Why was it so loud and then all of the sudden quieted down... Think i could have possibly got some air in the lines the ???
