Obviously water is what is put into the aftercooling system, but just wondering if anybody tried any other liquid. Also, for winter storage, just want to know what people are doing?

Water is the last liquid I would put in a aftercooler. I personally prefer Alcohol. At the track if you put in Dry Ice into your tank, it will be super cooler and can cool your intake charge as much as 20% cooler than outside air temp.
Alcohol wont freeze in the summer also. (If you run water, throw some anti-freeze into your tank.)
