Stock 92 5.0: Just quit running on the highway; sputtered once & died. Very low (1/8) tank reading. Added some fuel- thought guage might be bad. Cranks fine . will not fire...I can hear fuel pump prime upon turning ignition. Is it possible for fuel pump to prime without moving any gas (it is original) -or- I replaced an occassionally faulty TFI Ign. Modl (the thing which failed at high temps) about 4 months ago. It as an after market part. Possible total failure of the TFI, even after it cooled off?

I suspect it being an ignition problem. Check to see if your getting fire to the plugs. Hold wire 1/4" away from ground as someone is cranking engine to observe if there is spark. NOTE!!! Wrap wire in HEAVY rag as not to be shocked. Fire should be kinda blueish not red.

When you installed the TFI module 4mths ago you did apply the 'grease' that came with it didnt you? If not thats a 100% sure way of frying the module.

Good luck
