Okay here goes. Yes I searched. I have a 1988 Saleen convertible that was originally an automatic. I swapped it over to a 5 speed using a brand new T5Z. I used an LMR 5 speed transmission harness and hooked up the clutch safety switch and NSS as required. I ran it on the DE (auto-speed density ECU) for over 1k miles with the only issue being a little of the idle irregularities associated with a swap such as this and a code 67. I recently decided to convert the car to mass air using a 1989 5 speed engine harness and matching o2 sensor harness. I then installed an A9L ECU so everything would match. Upon initial start up the car ran like crap. It sounded like it had a big cam in it and blew black smoke out of the exhaust. Upon opening the ECU, after not being able to run codes and I found trace 46 burnt I didn't open the case prior to initial start up so I don't know if the trace was fried already or not. I got my hands on another A9L and inspected trace 46 and found it to be intact. I started the car again and it still ran like crap. Opened the ECU and found trace 46 burnt in this second computer after I confirmed it was good. WTF?? I repaired the trace by soldering in a thin wire and tried again. The car still ran crappy and I narrowed the poor running down to a defective MAF sensor. Ran the codes and I'm still getting the same code 67 that I was getting with the automatic computer even with all of the proper 5 speed wiring in the car. I've tested pin 30 while cranking under all condition (clutch in/ out etc.) and no voltage shows on my DVOM. So far I have 2 questions. Why did the trace fry with the correct wiring in the car? and Why am I still getting code 67?
Thanks in advance for the responses.
