Hi, I am working on installing an A9L into my 74 Maverick. Can anyone recommend where I can look on how to install into my maverick, or any conversion for that matter? If someone can help, the few concerns I have are,

1-will I need a VSS?
2-FP is signal is grouded to pin #22, correct?
3-I am using the stock Maverick NSS, so what do I need to do with pin #30? anything? car has a C4

I guess I will probably have to go through pin #30 with a multi meter, I am still trying to understand that portion of the wiring diagram. I should clarify as to the A9L, my tuner said he uses the A9L SCT tune for all his stock ecm cars as a baseline auto or manual. I am certain that I have an auto HEGO harness, maybe the tuner can reconfigure the A9L for auto or manual?

yes the tuner can make the proper changes

meter will not help for pin 30

pin 30 is a monitor input, it is looking for hi or low voltage conditions

its part of the auto start circuit, in manual its part of the cruise control, and trans strategy

pin 46 is what people mess up, the put unloaded 12volts to it and cook it

I suggest you follow that diagram for auto, to a T, you need VSS, in fact I would get it running in full stock config, before modding

a lot of people also get the charging circuit wrong as well
