5v reference is created out of the MCU. We are designing a drop in replacement A9L right now. We have a few test systems built and flashed the chips with the correct “firmware”. It will even work with a QuarterHorse as it won’t know the difference. Next step is to make a “high end” version with new MCU that is faster and more options.

What microprocessor are you guys considering/using for the new design?

That we are keeping to ourselves for right now. I will say it is a dual core and over 600MHz.

Any ETA on when something would be available?

I don't at this time. We are excited to have a hadnful of them being tested right now. With the race season about to kick off in a couple weeks, we will get to see how well it performs.

That'll be nice to have something runs faster than a fox ECU, i understand for those turning their engines up the SN conversion was an option, but I'd rather have something like this.
Any update on a potential availability date? Are you possibly going to be making chips too? Haven't found a source for those yet since Moates closed up...

No ETA. We will be doing a ton of testing this year. Sick Week just ended so we will be getting a bunch of data back this week.
We are also working on the QuarterHorse replacement. That one will take more time since it worked on many years and ECUs.

How would I determine a replacement transistor size for this? Are they something that can be replaced by someone somewhat proficient in soldering?

It can be done, but I recommend a good hot air station or a heated solder sucker for the through hole stuff for removal.
