I still have my old 93A4LD from my 93 Limited. It worked well when I parted out the truck, the suspension was about to be expensive to fix. So I used the body to repair a rolled 99, and saved just a few items from the 93. I have the engine and trans in my garage, since 2007, with 112,622 miles, on the instrument cluster too. I installed a TransGo VB kit in it in 2000 when I bought the truck, with a 1/8" longer modulator pin(before the adjustable type came out).
Any trans you find will likely need rebuilding at this age seals are likely hard and any leaks affect shifting. Mine was great when I stopped driving the truck. Mine is a 4WD, to make it 2WD would require R&Ring the whole trans to replace the output shaft and tail housing. I have to have $100 for this one, it's just in the way now.
