I've got a jinxed 90 AOD coupe with bolt-ons that always seems to run slower than it should.... tuning issues.

Is it possible the ECU was damaged due to:

1. it was wrecked on the psgr side before I got it an repaired.... could the psgr side impact hurt the puter?

2. if the shop that welded the body did not disconnect the puter during welding...... could they have damaged the puter enough to cause subtle power loss but still keep it drivable????

Out of curiosity I'm going to try another AOD computer swap just to rule this out.

I've also got a 92 5 spd 5.0..... could I swap in the 5sp puter just to see if my 90 aod puter is shot?

Thanks for the help...... I'm an old-school holley double pumper guy so this ecu crap is new to me.

Go right ahead and throw the computer out of the 92 5 speed in. Won't hurt anything at all. At least you will know if you need a new computer or not. Only takes a few minutes plus it's free since you already have the 92 5 speed computer. I run a 5 speed computer in my AOD with no problems. Good Luck.
