Could you post some pictures of your rear venting system on the fox body cowl hoods? you mention you change the structure and venting but I can't see it from the website.

My apologies for the delay in getting back with you. Great question. Most of our competitors use the old style rear screened vents to provide cooling. When we were developing our cowl hoods we found that the rear screened vents actually restricted airflow. Plus, when you cut holes in the structure it becomes weak and floppy when up on the hood prop. And lastly, if the guy cutting the holes in the back of your hood has a bad day at the office, you get to stare at the lopsided holes he left behind while you're driving. None of these points were very appealing to us and we didn't want them in our hoods. We didn't think you would really want them in your hood either.

So how do you get maximum airflow without weakening the structure, restricting airflow and looking ugly? Well, we found that if we simply moved the rear of the cowl an inch away from the firewall we maintained structural integrity, got 10x the airflow and had a nice smooth surface to look at while driving. Seemed like a win, win, win to us so that's what we did. In 2004 Steeda asked us to put this technology into their '05-'09 race hoods. Their race testing showed that our cowl-induction technology kept their inlet temperature within 10 degrees of the ambient air. So not only is it stronger and better looking, it adds serious airflow for better performance.

Here are some pics that show the 1" airspace along the rear of our cowl compared to one with rear screened vents. Note how much more surface area our hood offers for airflow.
