greetings all...... from Australia

i am after some info on 8.8 diff gears

what i need to know is the outer diameter of the crown wheel
the p.c.d. of the bolt holes on the crown wheel

the pinion length
the length of the pinion from the base of the gear to the lip were the spacer sits
the shaft diameter

if the 8.8 has a bearing on the back of the pinion like the 9"

any other details that you may have on the 8.8 will be greatly appreciated

the ratio is not important it is the measurements that i require will be the same on every gear set

i would have thought from all the posts in here about diff gear swaps somebody would have been able to help me by now but i guess not

is somebody able to at least point me in the right direction to were i may be able to find this info

come on guys with all the posts in here about changing from 2.73 & going to 3.73 surely somebody in here has there old gear set or even there new set that they have not fitted & can measure them for me please

I don't have the specific information you are looking for, but I didn't want you to get discouraged, either. The specific measurements you seek, should be found within a Ford technical service/shop manual.

Also to clarify--crown wheel=ring gear??? and p.c.d. ????

yes crownwheel is the ring gear
P.C.D. is pitch circle diameter of the bolt holes in the ring gear..... centre of hole on one side of ring gear to center of hole on other side of ring gear
