Looking for some advice for a carb. Holley tech said a 600 double pumper but from surfing the net it seem most people for a 650 DP with similar builds. My build specs are below. Is 650DP too much? The car is a weekend cruiser and mostly street driven. Thank you.

331 stroker
Comp cam xe274HR
AFR 185 Heads
Weiand Stealth Intake
1 5/8 headers
2.5 Magnaflow exhaust
T5Z tranny
3.7 gears, may swap to 4:10
1965 Mustang that is about 3000 pounds.

I would go with the 650, it's a good size for your size motor in a light car and still should be easy to get dialed in. Does Holley even actually make a 600 that is not vacuum secondary? I have never seen one even in a catalog.

650 dp at least. With that combo you could easily run a 750dp and re jet if needed.

I’d get a 650, mechanical secondaries, dial it in and you’ll be set.
