My freind has a 95 GT automatic. We have been told to that he doesn't need a shift kit but a dyno tooned chip would be better.

The guy who was going to do the work said he can boost up the Hp by 10-15%. We heard that the chip is made more for the 4.6 GTs. What do you guys think? He wants to keep it a automatic.

The shift kit will let him shift manually and it makes the shifts much harder, like a manual transmission. The tune on the other hand raises the fluid pressure and causes harder shifts and you can also change the shift points. I think he should get the shift kit done first.

I agree. Do the shift kit before doing the 'performance' chip.
