I need some help. I found a 4.6 front wheel drive motor for 500 bucks. I think its a great deal, however, will the bell housing of a tremec or any other RWD tranny work? If not how can I modify it to make it work? Thank you.

This Topic has been discussed extensively here on the Corral, do a search and see what you come up with.

I remember a while back someone posted that the FWD Block can be drilled and made to fit in a RWD application but, Some of the FWD Blocks Dont have provision for motor mounts in a RWD Application and the ones that do arent drilled or Tapped because the FWD cars dont use that mount.

Some FWD Blocks Will Swap Right In, But others wont, (thats FORD for ya)
Your best bet is to save yourself the trouble and get a Mark 8 Motor, Since it is RWD it is basically the Same as a Stang Motor.

Good Luck

what year is the block?
99 up won't.
96-98 is a question still. I had a thread going and someone posted a continental motor in a mark VIII. he claimed it was a 98.
