I HAVE A 2001 MUSTANG GT AND I AM CURRENTLY THINKING OF PUTTING A COBRA MOTOR IN IT. I WAS WONDEREING IF ANYONE KNEW THE DIFFICULTIES OF DOING THIS AS WELL AS IF THERE ARE ANY COMPLICATIONS. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO KNOW WHETHER OR NOT THE COMPUTER WOULD HAVE TO BE CHANGED OUT. THANKS. ANY INFORMATION IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Easy swap....pretty straight forward since you are keeping it in the same year with the ignition and fuel set up, you are planning on a 99 newer Cobra engine right? Keep your computer and just get it dyno tuned for the Cobra engine.... you'll make more power!! If you go get the Cobra computer you'd have to have a shop bypass the PATS security system and that'd be $400 alone without a tune...the tune on your GT should only cost around that and be more exact.....

Just as everyone had said above, the swap is fairly simple. As far as keeping your computer, if you are unable to get a dyno tune, you can also buy a mail order chip through the website listed above.
