The "3V" BS is just an aussie remarketing/renaming thing, its basically a small ci restrictor port Copy of the old USA ROUSH/SVO 9424 port design, the aussies are just pushing/pumping it as "3V" vs A3/B3/C3. heard the sm/pc "3V" version intake ports can at least be hogged out/opened up to the old 4V TransAm Boss / D3 port, at least the sm/ps ones are not over priced...

btw, Torkers are also a very good intakes for 400+ci...

Yup, it will work on 4V heads, again its basicly a port copy of the small 310ci Ford SVO restrictor ports which goes further back to the org svo transam/nascar port and to the even older Ford raised floor TA boss port. If you got 400+ci imo you want to open up runners/openings to 1-11/16" wide x 2-1/4" tall Boss/TransAm port openings so it don't choke off top end performance which it will with 351+ci. you can also use the price motorsports TA head inserts with it if you want which are about 3/8" thick to start with before grinding/contouring.

... Price Motorsport ...

again, the SM/PC version FW intake is cast thicker so its ports could be opened up to a 1-11/16"W by 2-1/4"T Boss/TransAm port size

notice underside of port runners thickness/difference in castings of parker & procomp version...

the pce version is also a coarser sand casting then the pkr version

most 2V port intakes have simular port size openings to the old svo B3 size int ports, they are just in a different/lower location so with spacer plates, porting and bolt hole ovaling most 2V intakes could be modded to use on 4V heads.

This is the "3V" sm/pc clev head which is also basically a copy of the old SVO A3,B3,C3 intake port design,
exh port height on this 3V/A3 type sm/pc head are also about same height as FORDs original p/s hi-port exh plate head mod.

I just came across this add ... CYLINDER HEADS FORD 351c CLEVELAND-NEW For Sale

saying that 3V heads use a raised port SVO design so its confusing/stupid that some of these sellers/aussies even mention 2V ports as the 3V/A3/B3/C3 ports are Higher than the factory 2V port heads. Need to use 4V intake gaskets or svo int gaskets or org sm/pc A3 type gaskets.

this is a 4V felpro #1228 intake gasket on these 3V/SVO type copy 1-5/8" wide x 2-1/8" tall cnc port castings...

left sides & floors on these heads can be ported/opened up more, to FORD's original 1-11/16" wide X 2-1/4" tall Boss/TransAm/4V port
