YES, factors though, your cam? Overlap,aka dynamic and static compression, i built an engine one time huge valves orting to beat the band,10-3/4:1 compression when checked with a compression gauge all cylinders were 121 to 123 psi, cam overlap comes into play, 10:1 engines can and do run on 93 octane everyday, just have to know what your building.NO!
