I cant seem to find info anywhere about people running a 275/60R15 on a 15x8 prostar. i currently run a 315/35R17 BFG Drag on 17x10.5" bullits and have eibach prokit springs, it rubs my tailpipes and they dotn seem to hit the fenders so im assuming everything is cool with them.

do i need a 5.5" BS wheel to clear the fenders since this tire is almost 2" taller than what im running now? can i get away with 4.5" BS so it'll look better. these are purely going to be street wheels and the 28" tire is to help me turn a few rpm less on the highway since i have 4.10's in the car.

should be fine with a 5.5 backspacing and if anything you can use a small spacer after to make it where you want it. a 4.5 bs might be too much then your screwed

I took my GT racing this weekend on 15x10 wheels (6.5 bs) with 28x10.5 ET Drags and it works great. I am picking up my 275/60/15 to go on the 15x10s this week. So, as far as clearance, with the ProKit, I would roll the lips on fenders (I cut up a set of 325/50/15 BFGs because I didn't roll the fenders) just to be safe. A 275 on a 15x8 will be just fine. I like to see them on a 10" because it gives a bigger foot print but the 15x8 will work just fine.
