I checked engine codes today, and one of the numbers has me surprised. The scanner gave a "542", which by the manual is "Fuel Pump Circuit Open Connection - Electrical Control Assembly to Motor Ground". I ran the test a few times and got this same code, so it's not a fluke or a misread. The problem I have is what this means. Either, the fuel pump circuit isn't complete and it isn't working (which from the car running, I am assuming is wrong), or the ECA has a ground. Anybody have some thoughts or ideas?
