SOLD: 1964 Ford 260 C4OE Head, Mustang, Falcon, Mercury Comet

Listed is a Ford Motor Company (FoMoCo) pair of heads for a Ford 260 V8 (similar to early 289 heads). This head is identified as C4OE-O (See images) and includes valves, valve Springs, retainers, etc. assembled. The date code on both heads is 4F19 (June 19, 1964), so the intake valve is understood to be 1.67 and the exhaust valve is understood to be 1.45. Also, the combustion chamber size should be 54.5cc.
Although, the date code is from 1964, it could be used in other year small block fords since it is similar to some 289 heads. This was pulled from a running engine and stored inside for many years.

Asking for $100/obo, shipping would be calculated from 22152 (northern Virginia) or pickup locally.

The date codes matter on this one! The improved Ford 260 head introduced in February of 1964, with larger 1.67/1.45-inch valves (like the 289 heads) and same 54.5cc combustion chambers (very similar size as the 289 combustion chambers). So, these would give older 260 V8s an increase in valve size or 68 289 or some later 302s a higher compression. One thought might be to use these on the later Ford 255 V8 since the valves are larger (just check things piston-to-valve and valve-to-deck clearances). Anyway, these are in good shape and would be fine in a restoration project as well!
