I was just informed that 15 inch skinnies will fit on a cobra/bullitt 13.5 front brake with just a 5/8 spacer. The person said he did know grinding what so ever to clear the caliper. Has anybody here done this?
5/8 is too thin, you will need about 13/16" spacer, or a 7/16 and 5/16" to clear it. I tried a 5/8" and 1 cleared and the other side didn't, weird. I added a 3/16" spacer to the 5/8" and it cleared. They stick out like a mofo though.
On my cobra with 15" Weld Pro-stars and 13/16" worth of spacers on MT ET FRONT 27.5x4.5x15 tires the sidewall of the tire stick out just a bit, maybe a 1/4 to 3/8" from the fenderwell. The tread of the tire is tucked in, but the sidewall stick out.
I have 3" studs and just barely thread all the way into the lug nut all the way.
