okay this has happened twice now.. the first time i let it sit for about 4 days without being cranked. it smoked for about 30 sec. then stopped. never does it when i drive it on a regular basis. it happened again the other day. this time it only set for 3 days. what gives? should i be worried about this? it never does when i drive it daily, just when i let it sit.. the smoke seemed white but not really sure..

Hey, my 94 Escort does the same thing. Seriously though, what color is it. Blue: oil, black: rich. My 01 Stang does not do it. It sets for a week since it is weekend car. So if it is blue I would take it to Ford. Oil is leaking into the combustion chamber. Not normal (for my Escort yes) for new car. How many miles do you have? That's my opinon based on my limited engine knowledge.

it is more like white... i guess it could be a light blue. definitely not black though.. the car now has 7,500 miles on it. i have changed the oil twice. i first noticed it at about 3,000 right before i had my first oil change. it is my daily driver and i don't really get a chance to let it sit much. i am hesitant to carry it back. i just installed exhaust on it and i am sure they are gonna say that it has something to do with it... what do you think?

Are you sure it isn't just condensation that built up over a few days?

White Smoke

Is your coolant level OK? White smoke usually means water
