tranny problem

I have a 5.0 gt stang. Mostly stock. Had a new B&m hammer shifter put in. At the same time i got a b&m phase 2 shift kit put in. When we put the new kit in we noticed a broken spring. The tranny is a 92 AOD. I guess these trannys are crap..? The spring is the 1-2 acumulator valve spring broken...
