  1. Running 10.5:1 or higher on 91 pump gas?

    5.0/5.8 Engine Tech
I saw an interesting post on the 8.2 deck fb page about running an auxiliary heat exchanger from a lightning in-line with heater hoses. Could help with keeping coolant temps under control.

Just casually ignore that useless ****
  3. What radiators are you running with your SBF strokers?? Preferably SN95 cars, or Fox with electric fan set ups.

    5.0/5.8 Engine Tech
As mentioned above you can change the fan settings in quarterhorse. Takes only a couple minutes. I’ve got one for sale ;)
  4. Running 10.5:1 or higher on 91 pump gas?

    5.0/5.8 Engine Tech
I’ve found that if you can keep coolant temps 180* or below it helps with pinging on pump gas.
  5. What radiators are you running with your SBF strokers?? Preferably SN95 cars, or Fox with electric fan set ups.

Aftermarket is good. I’ve had 2 on the American muscle house brand ones. Work awesome.

I’m a fan of the ford racing adjustable one. Really nice pedal even with a upgraded
  7. EGR Delete sealer?

    5.0/5.8 Engine Tech
I’ve sealed egr ports with a block off plate and ultra black. Worked good. **** I’ve sealed headers with ultra black.
  8. LMR 10-Hole Wheels

Appearance is usually one of the criteria for judging quality of a wheel. If it looks good and it balances then what’s the problem? There are countries other than here which possess the ability to manufacture quality goods. Just because something is a reproduction doesn’t mean it’s...
  9. AFR220 good for a low-mid rpm build 425ci

    5.0/5.8 Engine Tech
I’d be willing to bet he’d make more power everywhere with the 220cc over the 185cc. 185s are too small. Why put small block heads on big block cubes? With that method of thinking every bbc and bbf ford from the factory should have tiny ass heads instead of 260cc+
  10. EFI to carburetor

    5.0/5.8 Engine Tech
    I’d just go with electric.
  11. LMR 10-Hole Wheels

    General Mustang Tech
One issue I see is the cost of getting this done. I know Eric Vaughn charges $175+ per wheel to have them widened. That’s a tough pill to swallow for a 4 lug wheel if you’re asking me. There are plenty of overseas made wheels floating around, and we’ve had many on the balancer here. Can’t say...
  12. 351w/408 intake

    5.0/5.8 Engine Tech
Lmao. In my defense the ones I had didn’t have any lettering in them. Just fins.
  13. Stock Clutch Quadrant

    General Mustang Tech
Yes they are. Just pull up in the pedal. I can’t imagine you would want to replace the stock quadrant with another of the same. Lots of good deals on clutch cable kits right now!
  14. PiMPXS vs pro-m

    Engine Management Systems
I just started running my pimpxs system, but have used TunerStudios before. Imo the ms based platform is great. You can do everything you’ll ever need with the megasquirt. Progressive nitrous control? Yep. Fan control? Check. Launch control? Yep. List goes on and on.
  15. AFR220 good for a low-mid rpm build 425ci

    5.0/5.8 Engine Tech
If you’ve got the coin, and don’t mind having to get some headers for them the highport would be your best bet. 220cc+, really even 240cc+ would still do fine. As stated above the cam choice will have most to do with power band. I’d consider a box r or super Vic.
  16. AFR220 good for a low-mid rpm build 425ci

    5.0/5.8 Engine Tech
No harm in going with a high port. If you want to turn it up later
  17. What radiators are you running with your SBF strokers?? Preferably SN95 cars, or Fox with electric fan set ups.

I’ve never heard of these things happening. I ran a pretty potent 347 in 2 sn’s, both without bracing or subframe connectors and never had a single problem with cooling. I’ve ran the underdrive pulley as well and never had issues. Only reason I got rid of it was due to clearance issues with my...

All are In great working order and have less than 5000 miles on them. Idle like stock if you tune for them. $250 for injectors Also selling a pro-m 80 MAF. Bought...
  20. High flowing mechanic water pump recommendations

    5.0/5.8 Engine Tech
I’ve put gmb high volume water pumps on 4 different small block fords in the past year and a half, and all have ran without a hitch. $50 and it will perform as well as any other pump out there. $300 for a mechanical water pump is ludicrous.
