  1. Which fuel injector cleaner should I use for Mustang

    Maintenance
My old daily driver 2000 Contour SVT used to generate code P0420, which meant pre-cat inefficiency, as it got older with higher mileage. The Berryman B-12 Chemtool used to resolve that problem for a few months whenever it popped up. My old 2009 Fusion would also sometimes develop a rough idle...
  2. Which fuel injector cleaner should I use for Mustang

    Maintenance
That's a good article posted above. I've noticed the best results with Berryman B-12 Chemtool in my cars.
  3. HELP!! Front end squeaking

    General Mustang Tech
Jack up the front and see if it has excessive play. If you can shake it left to right it’s probably the tie rod end. Shake up and down then probably the ball joint. Also a shop might check it for you for free, or with an oil change.
  4. Koni Strt and Active comparison

    General Mustang Tech
I would choose a strut based on it's ability to properly dampen the spring and quality in which Koni is known for. What are the rates of the BMR 009 springs? Are these S197 springs?
  5. Rear axle rattle?

    General Mustang Tech
I'd say the clutch packs in the rear diff are worn or if an aftermarket diff was installed perhaps the C clips are too thin.
  6. AC Intermittent problem fixed

    General Mustang Tech
Nice Job! I got screwed once from RADAIR in Parma OH. As a teenager I had a compress clutch go out on my T-Bird. They claimed to have to remove the compressor from the car to change the clutch pulley. So basically they stole my R12 and it cost me more money for what could have been an easy...
  7. Brake Proportioning valve question

    General Mustang Tech
As I understand it count the total turns, I think mine was 8. Then adjust the valve all the way out, and then in 4 full turns to start in the middle. Test it and adjust in 1 turn increments from there and then half turn increments to fine tune. You will feel the braking and the pedal differ as...
  8. any one ever remove entire dash

    Electrical & Wiring
These are new... but expensive. http://http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=896/category_id=434/home_id=-1/mode=prod/prd896.htm
  9. 5th gear t5 help

    General Mustang Tech
You might try changing the fluid to a Syncromesh type, before looking into a full rebuild.
  10. will these wheels fit a 1989 notchback?

    General Mustang Tech
    Thanks! I had that confused.

    Isn't the Mustang 5 x 4.25" bolt circle?
  12. Upper control arm not lining up??

    General Mustang Tech
I didn't think they recommend rear coil over's without a PHB?
  13. Replacement Power Steering Pumps

    General Mustang Tech
Same here it was new from Summit Racing! Fortunately AGR sent me a new one, but I sold it before installing. I currently have an ATSCO reman pump from Steeda, but not thrilled with it either. It's quiet, but the feel is only OK, it developed a small leak and the black paint is coming off the...

  15. Bumpsteer kit question

    General Mustang Tech
If you are still using stock FOX spindles, I'd start with the .48" spacer as it should be pretty close to the height of stock tie rod ends.
  16. 4 lug Baer kit

    General Mustang Tech
Correct. I'm running the non HD 12" rotors with the J55 calipers. In the future I might buy new brackets and upgrade to the 13" rotors.
  17. 4 lug Baer kit

    General Mustang Tech
The HD J55 PBR is wider. Don't quote me on these exact measurements, but from what I recall 2.75" compared to 2.50" gap where the pads go. The standard C4 PBR caliper also as a different shape with a slight curve on the outer flange, like the example below, where as the HD J55 is straighter...
  18. 4 lug Baer kit

    General Mustang Tech
If you have the standard C4 PBR calipers/brackets, then I believe the front rotors are 12x0.81". HD J55 PBR calipers are required for 13" or 12" (cut down) rotors that are wider. The 12" rear rotors are different than the fronts. As for re-drilling, I believe most owners bolt the old rotor to...
  19. 4 lug Baer kit

    General Mustang Tech
Haven't needed to replace mine yet, but they are re-drilled 1988-1996 C4 Corvette rotors.
  20. Front end POP when pulling out

    General Mustang Tech
Could be a torn or missing spring isolator.
