M-2300-K Installation
Setup & Front Caliper Installation
By Chris Ihara

2 Hours
You will need all of the brake lines you remove in these steps so be careful with them!
  1. Remove old proportioning valve
  2. Remove master cylinder
  3. Detach any brake lines from the master cynlinder, you will need them later
  4. Remove brake booster.
  5. Test fit the new brake booster to see where exactly it hits on the strut tower. Mark this area with a pen you don't want to have to hammer out any more than you have to. You can also get the brake booster in by removing the intake manifold and driver's side valve cover. But if you ever need to remove the booster you will have to go through this same process which is why I recommend doing a little hammering.
  6. Hammer out the strut tower.

    TIP
Here's how to hammer effectively. I tried just swinging a hammer around in there and it just takes FOREVER, the hammer does little or no work. This method lets the hammer do most of the work thus saving a lot of time.

  7. When you have enough clearance, re-install the brake booster and reconnect all pedals and switches.

The included stock proportioning valve needs to be modified before installation. This is the gold piece with 5 brake line fittings, two on the top and three on the bottom. Under normal conditions it controls the amount of pressure going to the rear brakes; however, SVO has included a Wildwood proportioning valve to do this function. As a result it is necessary to disable the included proportioning valve. you cannot use the original proportioning valve, you must use the one in the M-2300-K kit.

  1. Remove the end of the proportioning valve that faces the front of the car.
  2. Remove the spring and plunger.
  3. Install the included plug in place of the original end.
  4. Install the new prop valve, you will have to move some brake lines around. Be very careful.
  5. Install the new master cylinder and attach all lines to the prop valve.

5 Minutes
  1. Disconnect the junction between the rear brake line and the front MC line. It is located in on the passenger side, right above the AC condenser.
  2. Install the Wildwood using the included adapters.
  3. For the initial adjustment set it to full pressure then back off 4 complete rotations.
