It doesn’t matter how much money is spent on your suspension or engine, if the car can’t grip the road then your money has been wasted. Since the tires are the only part of the car that touch the road they have a greater impact than any other component. Nitto’s new NT05 tire is a maximum performance summer tire that grips the road like a pit bull on a mailman’s leg.

This year's Car and Truck of the Year awards were announced today at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan this morning. The finalists for the 2009 Car of the Year included the Ford Flex, Hyundai Genesis and the Volkswagen Jetta TDI representing three distinct body styles and drivetrains. The Hyundai Genesis stunned the audience by winning the coveted 2009 North American Car of the Year award. This car reperesents Hyundai's first rear drive platform, their first V8 powered car and their first luxury sedan.
The 2009 North American Truck of the Year finalists were the Dodge Ram, Mercedes Benz ML320 Blue-Tec and the Ford F150. We have previously touted the F150's capabilities in our Forums so it should come as no surprise that the F150 has been selected as the 2009 North American Truck of the Year. This makes the second award for the 2009 F150 as it also has been selected as Motor Trend's 2009 truck of the year.
