The Internet has transformed the way we communicate, affected how businesses run, the health of the economy, and made the geographic distance between people shrink to miniscule proportions. Unfortunately, few things that the Internet spawns are ever useable outside of its ethereal borders. The sound file format known as MP3, however, has managed to reach beyond the Internet, beyond the realm of "Computer Geeks," into the hands of the mainstream. Sony's CDX-MP450X unleashes MP3s from your computer and brings it right to your car! In case you don't already know what it is we'll explain a little about MP3. It is possible to take music or sound and turn it into a file that your computer can play. For example you can take an audio CD and record one of the songs directly on your computer. You can then E-mail this file to other people, or store it on your local hard drive so that you can listen to it on your computer again even though your music CD may be in the car. For the most part these files are called "WAVE" files and have the file extension ".WAV" at the end of them.
