It is with a sad and heavy heart that we bid farewell to long time Corral Family Member Kurt Hallaman.  Kurt went by the username of Daywalker and has been a member of the Corral family for over 10-years. Kurt passed away on November 6, 2013 while en route to the hospital for cardiac trouble.

He had managed to cheat death many times and fought long and hard against health ailments that would have brought lesser men to their graves long ago.  Kurt was a friend, son and Corral Family member.  He will be sorely missed for his strength, courage, and fighting spirit that kept him here with us for so long.  Our most heartfelt condolences go out to his fiancee Janetta Davis, please keep her and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Mustang RTR was right at home over the weekend at HyperFest at Summit Point Raceway, as this annual event is all about having fun behind the wheel; something that anyone who gets a chance to drive the Mustang RTR can relate to. With the Performance Autosport Mustang RTR winning both its races, fans having the chance to experience the track from inside a Mustang RTR, RTR swag and cars on display, there is no question that it was a very successful weekend overall.

HyperFest attendees had the opportunity to ride in a Mustang RTR in two very different fashions; Formula Drift Champion Vaughn Gittin Jr. was giving drifting “slide-alongs” in the Monster Energy Falken Tire 2013 Ford Mustang RTR, and people also had the opportunity to ride in a 2013 Mustang RTR Spec 2 prototype on a very fast and technical road course. There were many wide smiles glued to the faces of the lucky riders, but none more important than the wounded soldiers of the “Freedom Behind the Wheel” program that Vaughn gave rides to, something he really was looking forward to doing all weekend.

COVINA, Calif., June 19 — Reigning SCCA Pirelli World Challenge GTS champion Paul Brown hopes to make his return to competition this weekend in the series doubleheader at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, the new name for Mosport International Raceway, in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada.

Justin Bell has been driving for Brown this year in the Paul Brown/Tiger Racing No. 50  Ford Mustang Boss 302S sponsored by eBay Motors and Kenny Brown Performance, but this time Brown will try to substitute for Bell, who has a previous broadcasting commitment with SPEED at the Barrett-Jackson Auto Auctions in Costa Mesa, Calif.

Brown owns the reigning championship-winning team in addition to being the division’s 2011 driver champion, however has been unable to compete so far this season because he’s engaged in a battle much more fierce than any on the racetrack.  He is undergoing treatment at the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center in Los Angeles, a leader in cancer research that is affiliated with the University of Southern California, after being diagnosed with aggressive melanoma (skin cancer) two weeks before the season opener at St. Petersburg, Fla., in March.
