I have a 1987 Ford F-150, runs good, but wont start. My starter will just turn and grind and only will sometimes start my truck. I replaced the fly wheel, and have put several new starters. I can get it to start good a few times and then it starts grinding again. And the starter locks. I take everything apart, unlock the starter and try something new. I have added chems, new bolts, nothings working. If you have any other ideas please help!!

I was shocked recently to hear that GM might be facing bankruptcy, I mean this is the world's biggest auto maker, how could they possibly be in debt?
the problems facing auto makers is that fuel prices are going up and the cars are not efficient enough. but now there seems to be a another problem, the credit crisis created by the mortgage mess has spilt else where, according to breadmarket fewer people are qualifying for loans to finance new car purchases, taking away a huge chunk of potential new customers, add to that those people who default on existing loans and you have a major problem... how do auto makers turn this one around!!

Alt, starters, 8.8 independent rearend, top loader, 1970 closed chamber heads for 351 cleveland set up like boss heads, 351 block with new trw flattop pistons, 605 solid cam, stock crank. comp headers, selling all due to relocation. need help to get rid of parts.

1979 Mercury Capri FOR SALE

:) Hey everyone, spread the word!

I have a 1979 Mercury Capri For Sale, same body style as the Fox Mustang. It is a 2 dr. hatch back.
The body on this car is clean, minus a small problem near a tire well, but other then that is pretty straight. There is a missing plastic piece on the passenger side near the window wing (it blew off while my son was driving it..and he couldn't go back and get it! :( :mad:

I was going to restore this car with my son, but he moved away, and I am not getting any younger! This would be a great restoring project for someone willing to spend some time on it.
It does run but needs a freeze plug put in, and a battery. (using mine from another car).

This is my son, his name is Kollin. Let me tell you what a great kid I have. Without going into years of detail I would say that his best quality is that He almost always considers others first. Even when facing such an early death, his prayers last night were focused on abused children all because we drove by a sign that gave some stats on child abuse. He really is a great kid. I am blessed to be his second dad and I am blessed to learn from him what faith really means.

If you believe in prayer, I am asking you from the bottom of my heart to put it to use! I have three specific prayer requests that I ask of you. The first is that God will heal my son's heart and make him well. The second is that our family will have the strength to carry on and the third is that if my boy should go home to be with Jesus, that we will accept it as Gods perfect will.

When Kollin was four we discovered that he had a rare heart disease called HCM. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in simplest definition it is when the heart muscle becomes hard and has to work extra hard to function. Have you ever heard of a healthy football player dropping dead on the field? That is an example of a case where the disease was not discovered until too late. We were blessed to discover Kollins condition at an early age but unfortunately his condition has suddenly taken a turn for the worse. His doctor has placed him at a rare "Sudden Death" risk due to massive hardening and blockage of his heart that occurred over the last six months. We are waiting on a group of doctors at UAB to discuss our options. It is already too late to scrape his heart to thin the muscle so we are not sure what we face.

Kollin is really the strong one through all of this. His biggest concern is that if he dies, his 7 month old baby sister will have never known him. How do you respond to that?

my 82 fox runs 7 flat on the 351w in the 1/8. ive managed to save almost 10k to put in it. this is strictly a trailered drag car. ive read all the things good comments in here, but none really help me. my question is this...im looking hard at the bds 871 and a forged 408 short block. ive already got canfield aluminum heads i plan on using.:eek: I WANT ALL THE CONSISTANT HP I CAN GET FOR THE MONEY !!!:eek: any suggestions ideas or comments are greatly appreciated. what kinda power can i expect from such a combo?:confused:

ineed more horsepower out of my 357 w with old style j302heads 11.5 comp 306 590 solildcam it runs 1098 at126 right now 155 60 ft can anyone give me abetter combo.. car is 3050with me in it its a 12.5 tire car with 456 gears i wiped the cam out so ineed a cam for sure how aboult some suggestions ineed 102 on the moter thanks peter

to make a long story short i am looking for stock height nice riding coil springs for my 95 gt i dont care about cornering or launching, will sell my eibach's i think they are 2inch lowering i'm very reasonable. moog and bilstein don't carry them i am calling eaton detroit springs tommorow i hope there reasonable thanks for your help
